How do I get the best sound and vision at home?
Independent journalists always give the same advice about buying Hi-Fi and Home Cinema – find yourself a good dealer. What do they mean by a good dealer? They mean shops that give knowledgeable advice, offer demonstrations and can deliver and install your purchase. That’s how we sell hi-fi and home cinema but more than that we do it because we enjoy music and films and we want you to enjoy them too. Everyone can
see and hear the difference between equipment so don’t think you need to be an ‘expert’. A pair of appreciative eyes and ears are the only qualifications necessary when it comes to choosing a good system.

How will good music and movies improve my life?
Music provides entertainment and pleasure. It can stimulate you and relax you at the same time. Music is pure emotion, but this will only come through on equipment good enough for you to respond to it naturally. The more natural the sound, the more enjoyment and satisfaction you'll derive. You will enjoy it so much that you'll buy lots of
new music and rediscover your existing collection. That’s what good Hi-Fi is all about and why we love it so much!

Likewise you can be transported into another world by watching movies but you will need a home cinema system that will produce a natural, almost 3D, image and a detailed non-fatiguing sound quality. No mass market package home cinema systems achieve this goal not least because most of them are devoting only 20% of the budget to the sound.We believe that the sound quality is every bit, if not more, important than the picture.

Why do I need advise and demonstrations?
We have always thought that a demonstration is the best way to choose what to buy. In one of our demonstration rooms you’ll have the opportunity to experience products for yourself. You can audition without distractions while we establish your requirements and use our experience to help you select the equipment that is right for you.We can match new equipment to your existing system or start from scratch. Many shops don’t have these facilities, we think they’re essential.

I'm a beginner - how should I use this guide?
If you’re new to hi-fi and home cinema then you might like to check-out the introductions to each section for a simple guide to the subject. After that use the Guide to get an overview of what's available before coming into one of our shops for a chat and a listen. At least by then you will have some idea of what we will be talking about!

Making your purchase easier

We offer an inclusive 3 year guarantee on all new hi-fi and home cinema separates* the first 2 years of which are transferable to another BADA dealer should you move. Style systems carry a two year guarantee. Everything else, including DVD players and display devices, carries the manufacturer’s guarantee and most of them now offer two years. To back this up we offer you an after sales service you can count on. Not only to repair anything that might go wrong but also to answer on-going technical queries or to call round if there’s a problem you can’t sort out yourself (subject to distance).
*Excluding consumables such as drive belts, laser assemblies, styli and lamps.

We can deliver and install your hi-fi or home cinema if you want us to, ensuring you get the very best from your new purchase. Putting a hi-fi system together may appear easy but it takes experience to make it sound sensational. Wiring up a home cinema system is even more challenging and most people wouldn’t even want to attempt it.

We allow you to change goods you have bought within 14 days (for something of equal or greater value) if you are not satisfied, provided that they are in perfect condition and are returned complete with all packing and instructions. Subject to the same rules we'll give you a refund if our advice has led you to buy something unsatisfactory. In this way you can be sure you’ll be delighted with your purchase – which is what we want.

We allow you to upgrade to something better for up to 30 days, again at no cost penalty and subject to the rules above. (This excludes any items ordered specifically on your behalf.)

We are authorised by the manufacturers to sell all the products we stock. This means we have factory trained staff who know what they’re talking about, we can buy at and pass on to you the best possible prices and we can repair or replace items quickly if they go wrong.

We are members of BADA the British Audio-Visual Dealers Association - independent shops committed to high standards of demonstration, advice, and service. Our service actually goes a long way beyond BADA’s basic requirements but nevertheless we remain answerable to its internal conciliation service.

Additionally, the BADA Transferable Guarantee allows you to transfer your guarantee rights to another BADA member if you move over 30 miles from where you lived when you bought the equipment. In these days of increasing mobility it’s nice to know that BADA dealers offer nationwide skilled help. We are also covered by the BADA Bonding scheme which guarantees deposits and the completion of sales.

We are customer driven and try to be as friendly and un-intimidating as we can be. We can make up leads for you and we can also provide insurance quotes, system tests and re-installation services if you move.

We stand by our Price Promise so you can buy with confidence knowing you will have the best combination of service and value for money.

We offer a wide range of Credit products to suit most budgets. Call into your nearest shop for full details. All our credit facilities are subject to acceptance for UK residents aged 18 and over. Written quotations are available on request. Minimum amount of loan (after deposit) is £250.

We can arrange home loans of equipment (subject to status) and also home demonstrations, especially for those customers who find travelling difficult. This is subject to arranging a mutually agreeable time and there is usually no extra cost involved (subject to the travelling distance).

We are happy to mail order direct to your door if you live a long way from one of our shops. This excludes products that require special installation and those from suppliers with whom we have contractually agreed not to mail order. We can give you after-sales advice and technical support over the phone and we will insure and despatch the goods by 48 hour delivery.
